Looks like I`m the first one to sign. I always knew that it I lived long enough I`d be first at
something. Stationed at the 602nd AC&W Sqdn in HOF from Sept 1959 to Aug 1962 Had a
daughter born there. A really good sqdn with some very outstanding airman. We stood there
ready for the worst at times but it seems that the Soviets just wasn`t ready to try us on for size.

Always an also-ran, never in first place. But I don't mind second bananna. stationed with the
6915th from 11/65 - 07/68. Loved it. Got back in '72 and look good for the reunion. I'll probably
go bankrupt, but I always was a "Carpe Diem" kind of guy.

3RD. Oh well, 3 is a number that keeps coming up in my life. I was stationed in Hof from OCT 64
till OCT 67, Loved the Scenery, the food and even the work. It doesn't look likely that I'll be able to
attend the big reunion but the future is NEVER locked in stone. You never know.

Arrived Hof Jan 63 from Brindisi, It, and departed Dec 65 for Mountain Home, ID. While there
worked in Ops Admin, Accounting and Finance, and the Commissary Admin. Truth be know, my
first love was pitching fastpitch softball. I married my Scottish sweetheart Helen (Candlish) and
moved into an apartment in Mochendorf before setting up house on Haidecker Strasse,
Oberkotzau where we started our family. Son David was born in MaR 64, and a daughter, Alison
born in Oct 65, both born in the local Krankenhaus in Hof. Had a wonderful tour and met so many
nice folk both military and local. Sure do miss it and am looking forward to the coming reunion.

Assigned to the 6915th from January 65 through October 31st 1967. Operations "A" Flight until I
married Monika Schmidt in June 1966, then worked in the Driver Training section of
Transportation after I lost my clearance. Thanks to the guidance of some tough old NCOs I went
from a brash young airman to a hard working, fair minded senior NCO myself. Still treasure the
friendship of some of the old gang. Our regrets that we won't make the reunion event.

I was on Able Flight in the 6915th from Jan 1965 until July 1967. I loved Germany and was
fortunate enough to be TDY with the Army Security Agency for 6 months in 1965 and 6 months
again in 1966. I returned to Hof about 10 years ago with my wife just to see how much had
changed in 25 years. What a difference! Looking forward to the reunion.

I have a photo website that is under construction with many photo's from that era, but it is not
secure yet so keep checking with me. One other category that would be nice is a "Looking for"
section in the website.

Was Czech linguist on Baker Flt in 6915th from Nov 63 to Jun 66. Discharged in Hof and worked
in NCO Club as civilian. Married Elke Wolfrum, a Hofer, in Sep 66. We moved to USA in 67 and
had 2 children. After 23 wonderful years of marriage, Elke succumbed to cancer. Have remarried
an Iowa farm girl, Kathy. We live in Douglas County, Colorado. I have been back to Hof many
times and maintain contact with Elke's mom and family. I metamorphosed from a fearless, wild
young man known as "The Flaming Meatball" to a mature married man while in Hof. Made many
friendships there, both German and American. Hof remains a big part of my life. I welcome
emails and calls from anyone. Sorry for my logorrhea. Carpe diem!!! Pat

that went to Germany to marry Jim in 1958 and lived in Hof for two years and loved it. We made
some very dear friends who we still keep in touch with. Our first child, Peggy, was born late in
1959 in Nurnberg Hospital. Returned back to the US early in 1960 with our 2 month old daughter.
It is so great hearing from all the guys and girls who shared the same experience as us. Looking

I was assigned to the 602nd and the 606th from January 1962-December 1964. Two of our sons
were born in Nurenburg. Many fine memories of the fine people I worked with in Germany and am
happy we have been able to keep in touch through the past reunions, and now this website.
Returned to Germany with our six children, 1974 for a three year tour of duty in Berlin. Retired
and spending the winters in Sun City, Arizona, summers in SD. Regret we will not be able to
attend the upcoming reunion in Germany, but did enjoy the past two reunions we attended.

I served at Hof with the 6915th, Dog Flight, as a Czech Linguist/Interaction Coordinator from
January 1965 until July 1967. Truly, these were some of the best times of my life as I took full
advantage of being able to travel all throughout Europe. It's great to see this site up and running
as for the last 34 years, there has been very little said of the 6915th or Hof. I thought the Blick,
Jake's, and the Eis Cafe were all one big wonderful dream I had back then. Let's keep it going,
I'm looking forward to seeing others pictures. Won't be able to make Hof this year, but I'll be in
Las Vegas for the reunion in '03.

August of '68. The Hof community and Germany, in general, carry many fond memories for me.
