| Bavarian Land Police, assigned with the Constabulary in the late 40's to jeep patrols in Bavaria. The Sheriff, as it were. Americans covered border actions and around the DP camps and LP's handled German nationals. The UN ineffectivly policed inside the DP camps which were "hotbeds" of Black Market activity, among other things. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Constabulary. The "Sheriff" of Bavaria immediatly after WW II. Controlled the roads and borders and DP camps and generally provided the "Law" in those times. Horse mounted, on the Czech Border 47-48. Motorcycle mounted on the Autobahnen. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
