Elwood - The Hof Site is now under control of the German Air Force. Glad Phil Ruth relocated you, and I hope you decided to join the association.

Assigned to Hof AS mid 1962 until July 1965, along with Joe Tortorete(dec), Sam Barr, Stuart Koch, and John Lynch, to activate operations of the new AN/GLR-1 site. Quite a fancy, state-of-the-art installation back then. In fact, I see it still in existence on Google Earth, with a few additional antennas. ???

Had lunch recemtly with a former flight commander from Hof, George Smith, now a retired Col and living in the Dayton, Ohio area. Hadn't seen him in 40 years - sure brought back some memories.

Stationed at Hof (medical unit) 1967-1971. Married Regina, & daughter born in Hof in 1970. Wife & daughter return for visits periodically, but I haven't been back for years. My last visit was a couple weeks delay en route when returning from middle east in early 1990's. I recognize some of the medical staff listed on your rosters & it brings back a lot of fun memories. Anyone know whereabouts of Charles (Chuck) Shearer, Charles Mattice, or Bruce Cook?
